Just under 11,000 square feet, custom timber-frame home in the Homesteads north of Whitefish — the second home Glacier Basin Builders has built in that area. Timber package over a million dollars, with tall vaulted ceilings throughout and a large footprint.

This is the second home Glacier Basin Builders has built in the Homesteads north of Whitefish, a large custom project running just under 11,000 square feet. The timber package runs over a million dollars on its own — extensive timber work across tall, vaulted ceiling spaces and a big footprint.
A five-man crew has been on site four months and framing is somewhere between sixty and seventy percent complete. As with every job of this scale, the challenge isn’t any single cut — it’s keeping the timber framers, the general contractor, the lumber yard, and the truss supplier all working off the same schedule when nothing in the building is a stock part.
